It is derived from Vijayanagar school of painting and of course is a close kin of Mysore school. This looks like a creation of famous Banayya Garudadri or one of his family members who were the last of artists in this school. After nearly a century of extinction this school was revived to glory by artist Vijay Hagargundgi. you can read about him in one of my blogs.H.S. An offshoot of the Vijayanagara school of painting and a close kin of the Mysore School, now an endangered art form with a handful few aware of its nuances and lesser practising it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
